Does anyone know of a bug-free site with good-looking templates for Blogger?
I've been trying in these last few weeks to change the format on my blog. Being cautious, I created a junk blog and tried out the new templates I downloaded on it. NONE of them worked right, and I haven't reinstated the original template yet. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I just copied the code from the download into the template code box. I'm thinking it might be "user error" but I'm not sure, LOL. Also, what is the difference between HTML and XML, and does it matter which one you use with Blogger 2.0? Thanks alot.

- The difference between HTML (Classic) and XML (Layouts) templates is quite vast. They use completely different tags to display your posts, title, and all other elements generated for your blog. Have you "upgraded" your template to use widgets? If so, you need to be looking for XML based templates. I have a fair few XML based templates available for free download on http://www.bloggerbuster.com, and a resource post which lists 101 of them (take a look in the sidebar for the link). If you haven't upgraded your template, you need to use "Classic" templates. The best resource I've found for these so far is http://www.isnaini.com. Hope this is useful to you!
