Having image registration problems with HP Deskjet F4480?

I am trying to print out some business cards on my Deskjet F4480 printer using the Avery 8859 template card stock. The problem is that the image is moving up and down by as much as a quarter inch or more from one sheet to the next. I used about 12 sheet before I actually got a sheet that had the BC image where it was supposed to be. Makes for pretty expensive BCs. I used the software to clean the feed rollers and even used alcohol and a Q-tip to clean them, but still the problem continues. I am at wits end trying to solve this problem, not to mention that the printer is fairly new. I haven't put more than 1500 sheets through it since I purchased it about 4 months ago. any help would be very much appreciated.

1. Usually the template should work. It is possible its the card stock itself that can be too thick and the printer has trouble pulling it. Use 10 pts card stock because it works well with F4480. That is the only thing i can see. In a nutshell, the problem is the paper feed. Get Avery label pre-cut business card. They work flawlessly for whatever reason.
