  1. "I Quit. Signed, Your name"
  2. Call up and say I QUIT
  3. just stop showing up ... they'll get the idea eventually
  4. Try this site: http://www.i-resign.com/uk/home/
  5. assuming its on good terms: Dear So and So: I regret to inform you that as of today, June 16, 2008, it will be my last day at (company name). I have enjoyed working with everyone and have decided to pursue a different aspect of my career. I thank you for the opportunity to have work with this company. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Your name here
  6. Your name and address in the top left hand corner, then a couple of spaces, then their address on the right, with the date over to the left. Dear .... Please accept this letter as notice of my intention to terminate my employment with you as of todays date. You might need to add something along the lines of .... Should there be any outstanding salary or holiday entitlement, I would be grateful if you could arrange for this to be paid to me as quickly as possible. If you want to give them a reason for leaving you could then say... My reasons for terminating my employment so suddenly, are...... Then sign the letter Yours sincerely (if you put the persons name, e.g. Dear Mr Jones) or Yours faithfully (if you started the letter Dear Sir.) then leave about 6 lines and type your name, and sign the letter inbetween the Yours sincerely and your typed name.
  7. You do not need a template. All you should say in a resignation letters is that you are resigning as of a particular date. Do not say ANYTHING else. It could come back to haunt you. No reasons, no excuses no explanations of what you are going to do next. NOTHNG. Seriously, that is what HR experts all say. Look at when Richard Nixon resigned from the Presidency. All he said in his letter to the Secretary of State was "I hereby resign the office of President of the United States as of noon, August 21, 1974." EDIT: My HR sources say that you should not even say "It was a pleasure working with you..." because if they try to screw you over and you then try to sue them, they can show your letter in court and say, "see, they said it was a pleasure working with us."
  8. stick it .
  9. Keep your resignation letter as brief and polite as possible! Whatever your reasons for leaving! Why?You never know when you will need a letter of reference!
