Microsoft word offline?
I have a Toshiba laptop which uses Windows 7. Back in October I had a virus removed, when I got my computer back my Internet Explorer no longer works and when I pull up my Microsoft Word and try to select a template it states: Unable to Connect to Microsoft Office Online. I did the diagnose testing and it says that I am not connected to the internet however I am connected. I have also tried to download the Microsoft Office 2010 and it gives me error message: The files required to set up Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010 cannot be loaded. Check your Internet connection and then try again. Again I am connected to the Internet so is there any suggestion on how to fix this?

- open internet explorer. click on the Tools menu and then select Internet Options Now click on the Connections tab Now click on the Lan Settings button Under the Proxy Server section, uncheck the checkbox labeled Use a proxy server for your LAN. Then press the OK button to close this screen. Then press the OK button to close the Internet Options screen. Now that you have disabled the proxy server you should be able to browse the web again with Internet Explorer. If that fails have you tried just resetting it ? .
- You may think you are connected to the internet, even though the wires may be hooked up, you may not have the internet connection configured correctly. Rather than mess around with LAN settings and all that stuff, I would take your computer back to the place where you had the virus removed. They messed it up, make them fix it.
