Anyone with good CV writing experience?

When writing a CV, if you've racked up 10 years experience in a particular line of work, how much space is absolutely necessary to give to listing your education? For example, is it really necessary to list the school I attended and GCSEs I got over 15 years ago? Just looking for ways to devote space to what's important without ruining my chance of getting considered... Thanks!

  1. I have a 2 page CV (Printed on both sides of an A4 piece of paper) which always gets me a call back and/or an interview and yes I have all my GCSE's, A Levels and BTEC's on my CV, including previous Work Experiences; unpaid and paid and Voluntary Work. The font size is a normal 11. Employers like to know your interests too, I get commented a lot on what I took for A Levels like Pscychology, just having a CV with no life or personality is dull. Most company application forms also have "School and Exam History"
  2. Just list you school and degree. Test scores after 15 years are really irrelevant
  3. Since it's been 15 years since your schooling, education doesn't really serve to impress employers. The only reason you put it on there is to show you have the minimum degree qualifications Just the name of the school and the degree is all that is needed (even a date of graduation could end up hurting you)
