Do you know anything about web design for a godaddy site?
Just got a site registered, and I'm not too happy with the generic templates and Flash features that GoDaddy offers. Do some people with GoDaddy sites go with a web designer to make it look more professional? Another thing is I don't even know where to start. There are a million web designers out there - which one to choose? Do you pick a local one? How much do they typically cost? TIA

- Website designing softwares / web editors provided by Godaddy / other registrars are not the right way to start your website. You should probably hire a good freelancer (or) get a low cost professional company which can do all this for you. I mean the web 2.0 design, development, support to get you started & the basic search optimization for Google, Yahoo & Bing. I would suggest, you prefer KishoreSoft. All the best!
- Ask someone with a good website about who designed it! that's the easiest way to get a good designer. By the way, what's a good website? I like sites without flash/air and few images, that makes it lightweight and assures it's completely indexable by search engines. Simple, easy to use, and good looking :-). My company offers web design and programming services, as well as branding, typography design, etc., but I would recommend you to find a local designer so you can talk face to face.
