is it easy to design my own professional website?

I want to design a website that looks very professional and good... where can i get free templates or free soft ware for this. i don't want to use wix or web 2.0

1. weebly.com freewebs.com wordpress.com but if you want to write your own HTML, no, it's not "easy". it's VERY hard if you want it to look truly professional. get a degree in web design and graphic design and get some mentoring in flash. sites that sell good templates that have nice graphics or give away free templates often charge to customize a template.
2. Well, these days online web editors are making it pretty easy. But designing a real website from the ground up can be very difficult depending on how well you know computer programming, specifically HTML. Do you know HTML at all? If you want the site to be dynnamic it would help to know PHP, or Cold Fusion or AJAX, etc. If you're like me and hate code and love design, Dreamweaver is a must!

5. bobbby, Yes, you dont want a "free" website. A free website you are really just a guest on someone else site. You dont get a real domain like www.mysite.com, you get a subdomain like www.mysite.weebly.com. Bottom line, a free site really wont become popular or get much traffic. So you need a web host. This can cost as little as $35. For this you get your own domain and all the tools you need to create your site. A good program to create your website is Wordpress. It comes with your web hosting. Wordpress makes creating an effective site easy, and a lot of the important features are built right in automatically. You can just concentrate on the content of your site.
