DH Templates

I use Dreamweaver MX to design websites, why are some templates all jumbled up in the "design view"?

This is especially the case when I work on CSS templates. This makes it very difficult to edit. Is there a setting on DW to make the layout view more like it would be seen if it were on the web?

  1. Congratulations! You've outgrown DreamWeaver. Using a visual design tool has significant limitations that you've just discovered. If what you see is no longer what you get, why are you still using a 'WYSIWYG' tool? Newer versions of Dreamweaver are better at handling modern web standards, but ultimately, you're responsible for the code in your pages. It's time to start looking into XHTML and CSS. Look at your pages the way the browser sees them, and you'll be able to get exactly what you want. Dreamweaver is fine for beginners (not really. I prefer people start the right way) but you're not a beginner any more. You're ready for code view now.
