downloading design templates for power point?

i download a template and it opens up in a new presentation, how do i get the template on to a presentation that i already have? thanks in advance!

1. You can't, you have to start over with the new template. That's like asking to transfer the original Mona Lisa onto a new canvas. Your best hope is to copy and paste material from your old presentation, but chances are that the styles and formatting will also import over, rather than use the new template. Or, you might be able to copy and paste segments of text over, if you just want to save on some typing.
