Looking to start a real estate company?

I'm looking to start a real estate company. All of that aside I'm trying to find a good place to create a website. So far the only one I know of is iHouse. Does anyone know of any websites that do real estate? I'm really looking for a template site that I modify and make my own. It would also be appreciated if the site allowed for MLS lookups. To answer the question posed I'm looking to do both but I'm leaning more towards selling properties that have just been built. I just need a website company to host the site that offers templates catered towards real estate markets that allow for MLS lookups.

  1. "Looking to lose all my life savings" should be your question's title.
  2. Are you saying you want to rent out houses or development commercial properties??
  3. If you run strictly a web page for other people, you will not need a real estate license. You can get view sample web pages on almost any real estate web site, such as Windmere or Century 21 or Scott's. Just pick a real estate company and run their name with a .com behind it. They all list multiple listings from other companies. If you try to sell or rent houses on your own, you will need a brokers license which means you will have to attend a vocational school on real estate, take a state exam for a sales license, and after working for a broker for 3 yrs, you can go back to the vocational school to become a broke, then take the state broker exam.
  4. If you have all the necessary legal requirements of your state such as a brokers license and a city permit to conduct the real estate business then you are good to go. What you should do is google "real estate web sites" to find what you are seeking. This will take an hour or two, but it is well worth the effort. There are some that are really inexpensive and some that cost. You will also have to secure a web address. Some will do this service and with some you have to have one to bring to their site that they host for you. I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck. "FIGHT ON"
  5. I would become a licensed realtor first. How are you going to make money with this? ******EDIT********** until you have your license and hang it with a broker, you will NOT be allowed to use MLS. When you hook up with a broker, they usually have websites that you can use that allows the MLS lookups
