What is the best type of paper to insert in a greeting card?

If I run the card through a laser printer, it warps the card a bit. My supervisor suggested a paper that could be inserted so that we may use several letter templates. He wants to be able to print the notes on the inserts so that all he has to do is sign them. What type of paper would not look tacky in a business related "thank you" card? It would be best if it were something that I did not have to cut to fit the card.

1. I use parchment paper. It comes in different colors, that are very pale. and the paper is thin enough to fold and not take up room. You are going to have cut a 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper and to fit.
