website design help!!!!?

i downloaded a free css template for my website and i cant manage to change any of the fonts size colours etc. is it stuck like that cause its a template or am i just doing it wrong? & im kinda still new at this so could you explain it in words someone unfamiliar with the whole webdesign thing would understand?

1. CSS Template generally use class that tag is defined in it and this class is defined somewhere in another file within a folder. U should find it to change font and etc. I advice that in section that u want to edit find the class name. Then find this name with in another file. After finding the class definition section u can edit what u want.
