Can I make a blog using my own domain name rather than using blogspot or wordpress?
Is it possible to get a complete(and free) blog template using my own domain name? And how do I buy my own domain name? Thanks in advance!:)

- A domain name registrar (GoDaddy, DirectNIC) allows you to purchase a domain name, and usually have a yearly cost of around $15. From there you can forward it to a service like Blogspot/Wordpress.com, or purchase web hosting space, install blog software (such as Wordpress or Moveable Type) and host it yourself. Purchasing web space has a monthly fee, but you don't need to deal with their advertisements on your site, and you have absolute control over what your website hosts and can publish files, backup your data, etc. I use Dreamhost as my provider, and they charge $9 a month. If you choose a web host, I recommend purchasing the domain directly from them so it's an easier experience.
- If you are having a domain name then you can use the wordpress etc. for preparing a blog. I am also you using the similar thing at my website www.thedivineshoppe.com Please see the link http://thedivineshoppe.com/divineblog/?m=200908
- Assuming you have bought your own domain, remains to rent a server! Choose a LAMP server (Linux, Apache, Mysql and Php), then download the free script "miniblog" from http://www.web2coders.com It contains everything you need, uses a very minimal template (so you can adapt your CSS), and even uses AJAX to update your screen on-the-fly!
- If you already have your domain name, mokodesign can setup your wordpress for you, and they do it for free as well!! http://www.mokodesign.com If you don't have your domain they would charge for the costs of the domain of your choice. You ask them, and you can start blogging within a few days.
- I think, Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For best cheapest and reliable Domain Hosting -----------> http://miempresaenlinea.com/dominios/dominiosmx.aspx I expect, its helpful for you. BEST*OF*LUCK!!!
- I think you have two questions in one. a) Complete Blog b) Free. A is answered by most of the persons here. for Part (B) I can suggest you to register on http://www.0fees.net. They will give you domain name you wanted, but they suffix their site name to your domain. Just like I have my blog at http://kumaravasthi.0fees.net/sharestories/ This is good service, if you agree to have your blog as subdomain instead of complete domain. Advantage is that you have full control on your blog, not just setting some options.
