where to get sample business documents?
okay so i have a project about business documents, and we're supposed to insert samples. so i'm looking for a sample letter of inquiry (aka request for quote) the one which is from a buyer to seller asking about prices for this that...i've searched images and others, but i'm only getting templates, which isnt very helpful, i need one that has been filled! anyone pleasee suggest a link or mail me a sample?! plzz...thnx! okay, based on jake's reply i guess i gotta clarify some stuff. the letter is basically from the buyer, asking the seller to send him a catalogue or price list, OR telling the seller he wants to buy (for example) 5 chairs, 2 tables etc and he would like to know the prices that the seller quotes... is that better? someone please reply!!

- buyer to seller asking about prices I don't know who gave you that assignment, but have I neither seen a letter as vague as that nor any reply from a seller containing that information. From your question, I'm assuming that this is cold, blind, inquiry from the buyer. This will never happen unless and until a personal contact is made either by the seller or the buyer. This may be done by a representative of the seller calling on the buyer, or a buyer making contact at a market, or, by contacting an agent of the seller. Only after the buyer is deemed to be a legitimate business will they ever be quoted prices, at the wholesale level. A letter of inquiry will not suffice. A location, a license, and/or a sales tax number is usually required. This isn't an answer for you, but all I can offer. You could write your own sample letter. It will be no more than a request for an agent to contact them for a possible business relationship. I can tell you from 50 years in retailing, that a first contact will not generally result in the lowest price from a seller. This is considered illegal, but trust me it goes on. Anticipated volume and /or initial orders do have an effect on pricing to a seller. Sorry that I don't have what is expected of you and I doubt that whoever it is, has no idea of procedures and/or how things work in the real world.
