The best free website builder for my blog?

I only have very little knowledge of HTML/CSS so I'm not able to build my own website, which means I need a website builder. I've got quite a number of requirements though; - it needs to be FREE. And it needs to support hosting or whatever it's called because I don't have a domain name. - Like I said, I want it to be a blog. - and it should be completely customizable, for instance it should be possible to replace the standard navigation buttons by images. I've tried Wordpress, which worked great but the layout wasn't customizable (only templates + custom banner). I've also tried Wix - it's great for designing but I can't figure out how to make a blog out of it. Yeah, I know blogger. Anything else?
