DH Templates

How can I go about creating professional swish templates?

I am very interested in web design and would really like to know how to create professional templates like the ones on their website. The templates made by swish: http://www.thetemplatestore.com/swishtemplates.asp I have looked through tutorials and such but none of which really teaches you how to make really good ones like these. I understand that they are "company made" but I have seen other websites use swish to make professional designs. I'm kinda bummed out about this, is there any way for a novice to learn how to make templates like these? What do I need to do to? Note: I was thinking about taking up lessons in learning flash but would that help? Thanks!
