is there a way to write sheet music on microsoft office word?

if i get the generic sheet music template for microsoft word, will i be able to get the notes on it on my computer, or will i have to print out the sheets then fill it in by hand?

1. What you need is a tabiture program. The Office template is like you say, you must write the notes in by hand. Try searching Google for a music writing program.
