CSS Code not working on my freewebs.com domain.?

I purchased a .com domain, and want to make a custom layout, using the advanced editing option, where you can post CSS code. The layout is called eclipse and is really awesome, but whenever I post the following CSS code, nothing really happens. I am sooo lost. lol

1. Thats because everything in the /* is a comment and doesn't do anything */
2. The code is wrong is why.
3. The first replier is wrong, everything in here is not in a comment (anything between /* and */ , so disregard that. I don't have the will to actually check all the css syntax. You need to make sure in your WEB PAGE (in the .html file) you have the following somewhere in the <head></head> tags: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style1.css" /> where "style1.css" is the name of this style file. To make it easy just put this file in the same folder as the html file
