How can I design my own Avery CD Labels for Wedding Favors?

I downloaded the template but I want to make it look nicer. I'm making CD Wedding Favors and would like some kind of art in the background. Thanks.

  1. I wouldn't recommend printing them at home, but finding a printshop that will do them with better quality ink (such as staples, ups store, etc). My fiance recently got some printed at staples for a school project and they looked pretty good. If your budget is higher, you could go to the UPS store and get your CD's from them, and have them print the image directly on the CD (they have special machines & CDs for this, and it looks fantastic, but runs around $4 each, though certainly you may be able to get a volume discount if you ask.) Sorry I didn't answer the original question. Using Photoshop or Illustrator is good, if you know how. Or seek out the help of a friend who does, or even a college/university student in graphic design. They can make it look amazing. Unfortunately do-it-yourself'ers never look that great, and templates are absolutely awful, 98% of the time.
  2. I would use the theme of the wedding or picture of place or the colors used in the wedding party http://www.beau-coup.com/personalized-wedding-cd-labels.htm http://cameras.about.com/cs/printing/ht/createacd.htm http://www.giftcds.com/
  3. I would keep it as clean and simple as possible. I just ran across these CD covers and I thought they were the nicest thing I've seen as far as CD's go. The ribbon and labels are not included but I think it is such a beautiful idea. http://www.theweddingfavorbar.com/eb1022.html
