I am new to web development and dont know how to use flash action script....?

I am planning on finding a free template with no css files and editing that code in dreamweaver. I want to make the page look really good with flash but dont know how to do action script. Is the best way to do this is with adding modules into dreamweaver and my code?? How do you work with flash?

1. If you are new to working with ActionScript it CAN seem daunting for sure. But its relatively easy to pick up if you take some time to learn it. It helps if you already know a little bit about coding and/ or can pick thru or read code easily. Editing Actionscript must be done inside the .fla file within Flash. It can not be edited outside of the .swf that is produced upon publishing of the .fla file. Meaning, if the color of my .swf file is blue, i cannot change that color to red without opening the .fla file changing the file to red and then republishing that as a new .swf. So editing flash must be done INSIDE of the .fla file in Flash. There are several really good sites out there that you can use to brush up on your beginning actionscripting. Two of them I would reccommend you start with are: www.kirupa.com www.cartoonsmart.com Both of these sites have great written and video tutorials for beginners. If you are going to use templates I would suggest you think about using something like www.55design.com I know they have several Flash templates. Its not free, but its $55 for the year and there are a ton of websites that are already set up you could easily change. I know they have a blog that has some good tips there too. There is also a library there that you could look through to preview the sites available. The best thing about joining a site like this is you have access to MULTIPLE templates if you decide you would like to go with another template that may not be flash based. I believe there is a whole pack of LOGO templates you get along with that membership too.
