Using flash to create slideshow type thing.?

I want to add a flash application to my web page. Kind of like the myspace slide show things...but of course I don't want it to be a slideshow of mypsace pictures. Basically I want a flash scrolling box thing. I tried just altering the code from myspace, but I have no experience with flash. It would be helpful if someone could link me to a good code template for what I'm looking to achieve and how I'm supposed to link it to my pages because I'd like to have the flash content external. Hope that wasn't too confusing. Any help is good. Thanks in advance.

2. Creating a flash video can be a little tricky if you have not done it before. Of course googling it and finding some tutorials will help, but my advice to you is to use a program called "CofeeCup Firestarter". This is a program to create flash videos, but unlike other programs is very easy to use....would be a great place to start especially if you only want to make one video or so.
