Need help with Letter template in Word?
I need to make an idiot proof letter template. I need the person to be able to tab to each spot, enter the info, and then tab to the next spot. I need the whole letter to be protected - except for the 'fill in the blank' spot. Everything I know to do allows too much that can go wrong. Any advise out there? Thanks.

- Try inserting form fields and protecting the document for forms. Here's how with versions of Word prior to Word 2007 (Vista): 1. Right-click on the menu area and select the Forms Menu from the pop-up. 2. Click the Control Toolbox button on the Forms menu. 3. At the point you want data entered, click the appropriate control. The textbox is usually the one you want. 4. Repeat step 3 for all fields you want filled in. 5. When you're done, click the Tools->Protect Document menu item. 6. Click the Forms radio button. 7. Give the protection a password. 8. Click OK. Note that form fields will be reset to empty if form protection is turned off, then back on. Hope that helps.
