Help required please for writing an appeal letter to my Boss regarding the redundancy package he has offered m?

I've been working for the same employer for over 12 years now. After the first 6 years his company went bankrupt but he then started up a new business & kept me on. I was told at that time that I could not claim redundancy for the 6 years that I had been working for him! I've been on maternity leave, due to return back to work this month but I've been told that my position with-in the company is now redundant. I had been working for this new company for another 6 years. I have spoken with the redundancy helpline & they believe that I am still entitled to 12 years redundancy but my employer is saying that it's only 6 years! I have also spoken with ACAS who also believe that I am entitled to the full 12 years & have advised me to write an appeal letter. Does anyone know where I can get help or a template on writing this kind of letter? Thanks for your help.
