Setting up a graphic design business?

When setting up a design business, what must be considered first before accepting clients? What do I need to know about Client relations? What types of supplies, forms, document templates, and checklists are needed at my disposal?

1. A) can they pay? B) All customers are stupid and they want you to know exactly what they want even when they don't know themselves. C) A good computer with a graphic program and find a good printer, be sure you know what they can and can't do and the time frame in order to get the job done.
