Can I use Yahoo/geocities to build a website from HTML code or do I have to use the design templates?

I want to set up a website with my own domain name and make it from HTML code not the yahoo site builder.

1. No, you can upload your own files. If you have Yahoo Webhosting the allow ftp (file transfer Protocol) which allows you to upload files. If you use free hosting you will have to upload everything manually.
