Help with my website?
www.saphiregames.com i have made this template for my website with css and html but i think it needs to be more visually appealing if i am going to attract people. does anyone know of a website where i could get some really good templates (for free) that would match up with my website? UPDATE: the templates on those sites already have other company headers and things in there, am i able to fill in my own stuff if i purchased it? also, (i know this might be a little too much to ask) could someone look through those and help me find a template they think would work well for my kind of site? I don't want to shell out 80 bucks and have it not work out.

- Your site seriously looks like it was designed in 1990. No joke. If you're trying to generate traffic to feed revenue from your two google ad slots, your best bet is to put fingers out into markets that are interested in your product. Try hooking your site into Twitter (to alert subscribers to when you've uploaded new games) and Facebook or Myspace to tap in to an existing market. As far as your actual site design, I think you may be beyond help if left to your own measures. So my advice to you is to spend a little money and buy a reasonably good template from a site like websitetemplates.com. They're not that expensive, and will be paid for pretty quickly if your site gets more traffic as a result. If you must get a free template, try freewebsitetemplates.com. These templates are pretty crappy, but would still be a step up from the site you currently have. UPDATE: to address what you asked later, all of the templates are readily customizable however you see fit. Nothing is locked in or permanent. Some of the free templates may require you to keep a copyright statement in your html or a "designed by" statement in your footer though. Personally, I think $80 is money well spent if you don't have the personal skill to design and code a good looking site. The reason I say this is that my going rate for a small site like yours (designed custom) is nearly $500. And that's pretty cheap, as custom designs go. One last note: If you're worried about getting the right template, go to a site like BoxedArt.com that allows you to pay a one time fee and have unlimited access to all their templates. Then you can try a few on and see what works.
