Need to design a birth certificate for my parenting class... any tips?
so i'm taking a parenting class at school, and i need to design what looks like an authentic birth certificate for my "sugar babies" (because we used bags of sugar as baby simulators) with my luck of the draw, i got twin girls... so now i need to make 2 certificates (they can both look generally the same) any tips on how to go about this? or any programs to use to design it? or any templates that might help me? because i've been searching on google for hours and can't find anything helpful... all the stuff i've found is ugly and very plain... anyways plz help :) i need this project to be done soon :P thanks!

- try images like google or yahoo. They might have an example of whatever state you live in. http://images.google.com/images?gbv=2&svnum=10&hl=en&q=+official+birth+certificate http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?p=birth+certificates&fr=yfp-t-501&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8
- I kind of doubt your teacher meant for you to agonize over the design. Lord knows the government didn't. Most government documents aren't stunning pieces fit for a design magazine. They're meant to be efficient, practical and cheap. I'd just try to replicate those boring images you've found in google using Microsoft Word. Make the page landscape. You'll need one cursive-y font for the top letters, "Birth Certificate." Then just use Times New Roman for the other writing. Leave blanks for signatures and sign it when you print it out. Just do another Google image search to find a decent-looking seal. It shouldn't take much time -- I'd give it another hour, tops. Good luck!
