CV writing services- good move or bad move?
I am considering getting a CV done via a professional cv writing service. However, when i went to the careers centre at my university, i was advised against it. Is it such a bad thing to be letting other people write a CV for me. Im really struggling with writing the CV myself, and i am a graduate with hardly any work experience. Should i go for it or not?

- Pay nobody! Go to Monster.co.uk - it's sooooo easy, the site has a template and you type in all of you details and it compiles it all for you. Print it off, and even leave it up on Monster so that employers can read it. Update it when you like, how you like. NO FUSS and IT'S FREE!!!!
- no don't get someone else to do it i found this site which was great for showing me how to lay it out and giving tips on what to add you can browse the templates or i think if you want to use them and down load it to a word document it costs £9.99 not that bad if you don't know where to start
- If I were you, I'd find someone that knows you, and is a good writer to write your CV with you. Last thing you want is someone writing blind, who doesn't know your skillset. Also, you need to make sure that you can answer questions on your made up CV. I know someone who had it done, and I asked him, "What are the transferable skills you are talking about?" He just looked at me blankly and shrugged his shoulders.
- you should go for it. If you're not good at writing resumes, or writing in general, your better off letting a pro do it. with the economy like it is and people losing jobs, competition is getting worse, companies are receiving ridiculous amounts of resumes. that gives you more reason to invest in your resume. Also, with that many candidates for jobs, one typo in your resume could cost you the job/interview. so i'd say go for it.
