DH Templates

Hi, Where can I get a free CV template?

Public Comments

  1. There should be one in microsoft works somewhere - I got one in mine
  2. Try Microsoft Word. On Word try opening a new document and if you're using 2003 and above then on the right of your screen you should have the option to choose Template "On My Computer," this should then lead to the options of Contemporary, Elegant or Professional Resume use these or Resume Wizard. They look alright if you've been working a few years or have completed an impressive education. If you haven't just use word and a few different fonts, nice paper and a knowledgeable "way forward" will get you a long way!!
  3. I find that careerbuilder.com has some good tips -- BUT a template is best when used as a starting point only. The people who look at many resumes or CVs (and there's a difference, of course) can often spot a template, and that can make you look lazy. There are general formats which are appropriate for a given field (again, careerbuilder or similar can give tips) but you should choose a format and order which highlights your personal strengths right up front. Good luck!
  4. Please check your emails; I can provide you with some samples as I do recruitment. ;)
  5. Please direct yourself to http://www.gjobadvice.co.uk for some clear pointers, and skip on the MS Office template as it is not a good idea
