DH Templates

This may sound very stupid but what are website templates for?

I KNOW website templates are layouts for websites (DUH) but what kind of website? (Like Xanga layouts are for Xanga, Myspace layouts for Myspace, Friendstur layouts for Friendstur, etc) I'm not sure but are they for www.freewebs.com?

1. They are not for HtML based websites but they work for freewebs they have some for free.
2. multiply and myspace
