What do I need to know in creating and publishing a Website?

I have downloaded some CSS Templates and I have edited it in the DESIGN MODE of Microsoft Expression Web and Dreamweaver CS3. I don't know how to publish it. How do i upload my page to my site? Do i need a website with my own domain? I have a free web hosting service (X10 Hosting and Freewebs [HTML Mode]), but how do I put my page there? Please be elaborate in answering as I'am only a beginner. Thank you.

  1. To upload to a website you need an FTP program (File transfer protocol). You will need the web address, password and host name. You also need an index page (index.html) for the first page. Here's a website with lots of help also: http://www.coffeecup.com

Click here to visit us: http://www.000webhost.com/56604.html That was the pre-text they wrote for me. This is what I actually think of it. I have been using this service for a while now, and I'm satisfied. I get free, what would cost like $150 on lunarpages or godaddy or something like that. And then, you can even upgrade for even more features for just $5 a month! That's what I think about it. I'm not going to put my site's link on here so my answer won't get reported for advertising, but if you want to see my site to decide if you like the service and the templates they offer, just email me and I'll send you a link otherwise, just visit the site and check it out! P.S. They really do offer what they say they offer.
