How do I make Microsoft Word templates update on pre-existing documents? For my work, we have our letterhead in a Microsoft Word Template. However, every once in a while we need to update our letterhead. This is fine for when we create new letters. However, all the documents that were created with the old letterhead remain the same, and we have to manually copy and paste them into the template with the new letterhead. Is there anyway to automate this process, or make it so that the letterhead automatically updates on pre-existing files?

When does a letter require a signature? Im applying for the nursing program at my college this year. However Im required to submit 3 letters of recommendation with my application along with other things like transcripts, etc. Well, Ive already asked a physician that I know for a letter of recommendation. Ive noticed though that in the sample letters from Microsoft Office Word, there are no black blank lines suggesting where a signature would go. My question is, do all letters require signatures now a days? I thought they did, but like I said I dont see a suggestion for that in the Microsoft Office Word templates. Word 2007 - letter head template only visible in print preview? Our corporate letter head that we use daily in Microsoft Word - well all of sudden, you can only see our logo address etc when viewing in Print Preview... Usually when we open the word doc with the letterhead, it is visible when you are typing out your letter.. how do I get this back? I like to see it when I am typing so I can lay it out nicely on the page. I am certain I didn't make any changes to my Word preferences... please help!

Dell Inspiron Laptop.. how can I get Microsoft Word on there? New to the world of laptops... just got a Dell Inspiron but the only thing to type on says "rich text document".. I emailed a letter from my home computer to my email and opened it with the laptop.. the format pops up differently and I need to type on letterhead for work.. it looks different on the laptop and wondering if there is a way to get microsoft word on there so Ican type the way I always do? Writing first resume and cover letter, any advice? I'm applying to work at Build-a-Bear Workshop (in Canada) and they told me to bring in the application form with a resume and cover letter. I'm 16 and looking for my first job so I have no work experience. I also don't have any "academic achievements" and I'm not involved in any clubs or sports at school. (I'm in grade 10 by the way) I was told not to use the Microsoft Office template things because employers supposedly don't bother looking at resumes like that and you have to make yours stand out or something. I have a lot of good ideas thatI want to put to use on the card. I am facing one problem however. I don't know what size to pick. Microsoft Word Question? I am trying to write a template in microsoft word. What I want to do is have underlines that show where to type (or write if you print it out). I want that underline to stay as I type text above it. Right now, if I type, the underline is pushed to the line below and it opens up making room for the letters. I want it to be permanent and won't alter because of typed text.

Is there cheap accessible software that can be used for sending mass emails at the click of a button? This would be in the same way as a mail shot is sent to a mailing list. The problem with 'blind copying' people is that too many emails reach junk mail, especially for things like press release dissemination. Also, is there a software for automatically imposing names and/or address's to letters or email templates? perhaps microsoft has something like this although I haven't found it. Ideally I'd like to be able to send 200 emails to different people at the same time with each email containing exactly the same text - except for the recipients name (on the first line of the text in the body of the email) which I'd like tailored changed for each email.
Help with fixing Micrsoft Excel resume template? I downloaded a template from Microsoft Excel for my resume and the template makes my name the same size as my contact information. I adjusted the font size of my name to be slightly bigger than the rest of my document, but the template cuts of the top of the letters in my name. How can I print an address on an envelope when the data is on excel? We have to do a massive mailing to hundreds of clients. We usually print the client's name & address on label stickers but I want to figure out if I can feed the envelopes through the printer instead of using label stickers. I have the mailing list in excel: one column has fist name, one last name, one with address #1, one with address #2, etc. The size of the envelope is a basic 9.5" X 4.5" inches. I don't know if I have to use some form of mail merge onto Word or Excel has a print envelope option. I saw the option under Tools, Letters>Letters/Mailings>Envelopes and Labels, however, I know how to use that option when drafting a letter. In this project, I do not have a formal letter that is included in this envelope (so this is not an option). Is there a Microsoft template I have to use?

Excel code or programming? Need to input Excel spreadsheet data into Excel spreadsheet calendar? If you're reading this, thank you! Hopefully you know a little more about Excel than I do... To give you a little background, I've downloaded a Microsoft template in order to create a calendar in Excel. Each month is it's own tab and in each tab, the days of the month are are set up in cells B4-H8. I also have a separate spreadsheet containing the events with dates (we'll call this the list). What I'm hoping to do is to modify a code/module I've found (below) that will take the list and input each event into it's respective date on the calendar. The code below appears to be setup for a calendar that lives on one tab, as opposed to twelve. Can anyone assist me in modifying it to work with the calendar I have, or create a new code that will work? I need help in Microsoft Word.? I have a template created in Word and I have to print my letterhead separately then put it back into my printer then print my document onto the letterhead, is there an easier way. I saved my letterhead as a template and when i adjust my margins for my body of my letter it changes my format for my letterhead too and I don't want that. Please help!
Microsoft word Glitch.. very annoying!? whenever i open a new template, i don't get a fresh empty document. Instead a document i deleted a long time ago pops up. is this glitch common and is there a solution? i went as far as buying Office 2003 and installing it (deleting the old 2000 version) but no luck of fixing the glitch. that document follows me around, and it's a mother's day letter to my mom (embarrassing). Microsoft Office (Word) 2007 people I need your HELP/RESPONSES!! Where can I get stationary like backgrounds?! Ok So I swear on the old office 2003 you could choose different like style, theme, template, whatever you call it backgrounds!! Like I want to write a letter to a friend and i don't want just a plain white background. I dont mean like put a picture as the background Im talking about those like squiggly lines and tribals and offset multi colored boxs and cool designs. I dont even really know what to call them or I would of looked up the answer for where they are in Word! What are they called and where do I find them/get them at???? what is and how do you create a 'template' on the computer? my boss wants me to use a "templet (spelling)" with Microsoft Office, for fixing his letters. Making his offical letters he sends out to the clients look nicer. How would I go about doing this? I could just play around and figure it out but I dont have time... if you could help explaine this to me it would be great!
Is it possible to create this type of document in Microsoft word? I would like to create a document , template style that each time I open it I am presented with a main body of text which will remain the same(locked even) along with a few editable fields. The document is a letter. Ideally I would like to open it up, once I have set it up with my cursor already to type in the first field and then be able to quickly swith between fields with the tab key,symilar to the way you can with internet type forms. One thing I need to take into consideration is the fact that I will have to insert text amid a sentence on one particular field so it will have to be able to automatically fit the body of the text in around it. Does anybody know if this is possible, it could even be using another program from the office suite. Thanks
MS WORD - How to automatically fill in text (field?) with the same text entered elsewhere? Using Microsoft Word 2007 - how can I create two or mroe identical text fields? Basically, we have a template letter. I want to be able to add the company name of the recipient in the recipient's address at the letter top and have that same text be added to several different places in the text. I have figured how to do it using the bookmark/ref feature, but you still have to manually update the field. Is it possible to have the field update automatically? (like in Excel when you reference another cell - the referencing cell updates automatically if the reference cell is changed). Thanks!
Can I set my address as a template? I have Microsoft Office 2007 and have a lot of letters to do. I am so fed up with having to type out my address each time. I have tried to set my address as a template but failed miserably, does anyone know if I can do it and if so how? - thanks
Advice for resumes and cover letters for job fairs? At the moment, I'm in the process of both trying to apply for a job, and also trying my odds at a job fair coming up next week. This would be the first time I've ever put together a resume for a job (and the first time since high school projects that I even touched upon the subject of a resume), so I think I could really use a few pointers. Considering the resume will be submitted to (hopefully) many potential employers, should I really go for a specific Objective on the form? And besides skills, work experience, and education, what sorts of areas look appealing to employers? (If it helps, I'm using Microsoft Word's resume templates for this.) Would things like hobbies and extracurricular activities really make a difference to employers? And I suppose finally, should I even worry about a cover letter, considering the variety of employers that will be represented at this job fair? Any and all help will be appreciated!
HP7350 Printer prints Document OK-then prints page I don't want? What is the best job resume format? I am looking for a job and I have to use a resume with the online job searches (hotjobs.com, Monster.com, Careerbuilder.com, etc). I'm using a good template from Microsoft, but was wondering what the best job resume would look like for someone with secretarial/office administration skills. Are cover letters necessary? What is a good cover letter suppose to look like? If you were looking at an online resume of somene with strong general office and Microsoft Excel and Access skills, what exactly would you want to see in the resume to consider hiring this person? Mass postage software NOT email? can someone suggest a software which basically has the name and address of all my customers and if i need to send them some sort of notice or letter i simply type the letter in a input box and it will print the messages with all the names and address for postage. it would be great if many diffrent software can be suggested. or if there is a template for it in MS access or other microsoft office products. thanks also you please tell which office software it is and where is this option for mailing.
HELP* converting scanned document to adjust it? I just bought a epson scanner to scan documents like my letter head for example. I wanted to then convert the scanned image of my letter head so I can open it as a template and type my letters and print them and the letter head together. I otherwise need to have more letter head printed. I also have documents that I want to scan and fill out and print. I have to keep this damn old archaic typewriter to fill out all my aplications for payment and safety forms. If I could scan the original I can fill it out and print it instead of typing it. I scanned the documents and they are saved as a jpeg or tiff but I cannot alter them. I assume I can get some sort of software to convert the file. I have microsoft word and works.
