Quickbooks Invoice Templates - it won't accept the changes!? I want to simply change the margin width for a column - "Class". I resized it and made the other columns smaller to accommodate the Class column being larger. The Layout Designer shows it, but when I go to make a new invoice, it is back to the old layout. I made a new invoice template with a completely different layout, but still trying to make the Class column larger than the Description column. But STILL, it did not take. Is there an "Apply" step? What am I missing?
How to configure sales tax in an invoice? I created invoices for my business in Microsoft excel. Some of the invoices do not calculate sales tax because those customers have tax resale numbers and so do not have to pay tax. Some of those customers are no longer doing business with us and I now want to reassign those invoice templates to customers that do pay tax. How do create this invoice in QuickBooks? I work for a travel agency, and need to create invoices. We do not sell "items", but when I put the subtotal in the "amount" column, it tells me I have to associate an item with that amount. I want to have an invoice template in excel where everytime i save it, it automatically saves it under 0001, then the next time, it will be 0002.( but it has to save automatically) and continues saving itself with the adding of one at the invoice number. oh!, and if it can open up with the invoice number which it will save itself. EXAMPLE: i open the template, it opens with the invoice number 10025. i save it, and automatically, it has 10025 as the name for the file to save it as. next time i open it, it will open with 10026 and save under 10026.

How do I adjust the subtotal and total amounts in Quickbooks Pro? The subtotal box on my quickbooks pro invoice shows the tax already calculated. Then the "total" box shows this same amount. How do I change my invoice template so that the subtotal shows the total without the tax already calculated and then the total shows the total of the order with the sales tax? Thanks. Quickbooks Simple Start 2008 - Change Company Info - Invoice Email? Hi everyone! I changed the name of my company a couple of months ago, but kept all the same accounts info. Everything is fine, no problem, except the invoice email template. It insists on including the old company name in the outgoing email subject line and the sign-off within the email itself, even though I have changed the company details in the Quickbooks company info area. I don't have a company name. All I need to list is Day, Hours Worked, and What was Done. Should I do this in Photoshop (pdf files are huge, but uneditable), or Word (doc files are small, completely editable)? Should it just be text, or should I try to make it "classy" somehow? -I do have Microsoft Office, but Microsoft says it's an illegial copy. (It would appear that the IT department has screwed me once again.) -Dude, you have a lot of tutorials on your site. Could I make a suggestion: Include a meta description so Google can index you properly. Find a SEO tutorial and optimize your site (for google). Get rid of the frames; they make it impossible to bookmark pages on your site and they're just plain annoying. Last but probably most important, redesign. Two columns was fine back in the day, but you gotta make your site jump out at people. You've got a great product (tutorials), but you gotta market it properly too.

What is the best invoicing software? QuickBooks is a little on the high side and has more than what I need. I haven't used it since 2002, I think. Right now, I'm looking for invoicing software where I can have templates for invoices or be able to change the invoice layout and have multiple invoice layouts/options such as estimate, change order, bill, etc. I would like to be able to input information into invoices and have it automatically input client information after a name is selected. How do I add an address from a code in Excel? I have created an Excel invoice template for a friends small business. It has 3 cells underneath each other where I need to put the customers address. Fake Yellow Pages Invoice? Yesterday, my mother received a fax at her business from a company called "The Official Yellow Pages". It said that if she didn't pay the $399 in 24 hours, interest would accrue. I called the representative and told her that my mother had already payed for the Yellow Book through 2008. Then the representative says, "Oh, that's the Yellow Book, we are 'The Official Yellow Pages', ours is printed every year, and we have your mother on audio saying she agrees to the contract, it's already printing in June and all the templates are done so you can not back out now." Wow what a load of BS. I'm pretty sure this is one of those scam yellow pages companies. They even have the same logo as the Yellow Book on the faxed invoice. I was just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with something like this and how they dealt with it. My mother doesn't speak English very well, and she thought she was agreeing for advertisement in the official Yellow Book. Can she just not pay?
Graphic Design company needs help with pricing? I recently started a graphic design company. It's just me, no other employees, and I'm still new at this stuff. Mostly I've been doing corporate identity so far, but someone yesterday contacted me about a few things and I'm not sure how to price them all. They are: -business cards -stationery for invoicing -a trifold marketing piece -template for flyers I'm assuming at this point she's already got a logo (because she didn't ask for one). So I need to give her a price quote for the design of these things - excluding the printing. I'm not sure how much to ask for each one. I'm afraid if I ask too low, I'll really be wasting my time and if I ask too much I'll out-price myself and not get the job. Thanks.

Create "Files" in flash for an invoice program? I am making an invoice program and I need to open a template form, fill it in, and save it to a menu with a specific name. The menu would list all of the invoices with the info filled in. Every time a new invoice is created it must be added to this menu. This must be done a way that the info can't be lost- like if I were to update the file- the saved stuff would still be there. This could be done using external files... but I need it to be simple (because I am a high- level beginner/ low experienced) (I do not know PHP or anything like that) In the form there will be a field so that I can name the file... this will be the name of the button I click on in the menu to get back to the saved invoice.
