Will powerpoint 2007 design templates open in previous versions of powerpoint? Created a powerpoint in the 2007 version with its new design templates, and saved as a 2000-2003 ppt file. Will the design template be missing when I open it in a 2000-2003 version of powerpoint?

How do you get new powerpoint templates to show up in powerpoint 2003? I downloaded some new powerpoint templates for a presentation I'm giving, and I moved the file into the presentation designs folder within the templates folder, but they won't show up as options in powerpoint unless I browse for them. I've restarted the program, and I've restarted my computer and they still won't show up. Does anyone know a way to make the new templates show up with the ones that came with the program?

Why is my design template not appearing in PowerPoint? I'm attempting to apply a design template to a PowerPoint presentation. I saved several templates in the "templates" folder of Microsoft; I see those design templates on the "slide design" task pane in "available for use." However, when I click the templates I created, they don't seem to apply; instead, I see a simple white plain presentation. (The default Microsoft design templates DO apply; if I have one of those templates applied and I click one I created, the presentation goes to plain white.) Why aren't my templates applying? For reference, I have PowerPoint 2003. They weren't actual templates, but images; I saved them as design templates (which I thought you could do). Again, I see the actual designs on the task pane, just when I click them, they don't seem to apply.

Why don't design template styles always automatically format when you highlight & tab text in Powerpoint 07? I am trying to create a custom design template in PowerPoint 2007 that the rest of my company can use. For years I have been able to highlight text in Powerpoint, tab and it automatically reformats the text to varying levels within a slide design. However most people in my office are finding that when they highlight and tab text it just deletes. Are there some settings which need to be activated to make this work on other PC's? FYI - I have always been able to do this myself on a number of different PC's and laptops so unclear what the issue is. I cant find any reference to it anywhere in the Powerpoint help section. HELP!!

On our school's website, my teacher puts up notes in powerpoint form for us to print and use during lecture, but she has applied a template that will waste a lot of my ink, so is there any way I can change it back to a blank template? All design and layout template pics are missing in the design and slide layout pane in PowerPoint. Any ideas? I am a support technician. I have tried everything I can think of. This is in Office 2003. The templates are still there. If you place your cursor over the template the name shows up and you can still choose that template, the pictures are gone.

In PowerPoint, when changing an existing presentation to a new design...? ...how do I change all pages at once to conform to the fonts (colors, size, etc.) already set up in the master of the new design template? The design changes properly and the master is correct, but it holds the fonts from the previous design. Is there a way to change them all at once, rather than one slide at a time? That seeems counterproductive, especially for a large presentation. I've tried searching for answers, but nothing seems to address this particular issue, and it seems there must be a way to do this.

How do I change Slide Masters in powerpoint? I do not want to change/alter the design template. I have one "Master Slide company background master slide" fo a 40-slide presentation. (this is Not a title slide, by the way.) In the middle of this, I simiply want to switch/change to another "Master Slide company background slide" for 5 slides. Then go back to the original PPT Master slide. I would like to copy the 2nd Master Slide background slide & put this into the lineup of Master Slides. But when I copy & paste this new Master Slide -- and then click on it to Select it - and then Close the Master Slide screen - nothing happens to the background of the presentation slides. They are unaffected. Obviously, I'm doing something wrong or not doing something that I should. Can someone please help me? This is enormously frustrating.
