I am confused on how to apply templates to Microsoft Word 2007? I am trying to create business cards. I am using Avery business cards and on the packaging it says I can use an Avery template in Word. They gave me the number 8371 but I have no clue where to go to change or apply the template. Is anyone familiar with how to do this? Thanks!
business card making problems (printshop & publisher)? Why is this so hard? I started in print shop spent a whole day designing my double sided business card. Happy with it until the end. I wanted the whole background yellow. It would let me color the background, except leaving me this 1/8’ box around the whole edge of the card. Not good enough (the whole back of the card yellow). So then went to ms publisher (everyone said use ms publisher). Fine, I found what looks like a business card template. Figured out how to color it yellow…good. Tried to import the rest of my file from print shop .biz ext. publisher wont accept the .biz ext. it…now only wondering where is the Avery 8371 template is on publisher…. Is their a solution (not go have someone do it for me) or program that can handle it all?
Avery Business Cards?!? I have the ten to a sheet avery business cards clean cut kind I have a hp photosmart 8750. I have downloaded the template from Avery's website, and my business cards are still off. They are getting cut off. They're not aligned at all. How do I fix this?
How do I print business cards in Word 2003? I'm using Avery's Laser Business Card Sheets with Template 5371. I'm actually trying to use them as note cards. So, each card may be different. If I create a new document using the template, fill in the card squares, and print, then the output doesn't have a top margin. The printing starts at the very top of the page. Anybody know how I can print my cards in the right spaces?
How To Correctly Print/Align Avery 8371 Business Cards? Okay. I am printing out "Raffle Tickets" on Business Cards. I downloaded this template off of Microsoft Office's website and customized it to my liking. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/TC012299651033.aspx?pid=CT101436061033 I made 100 documents and numbered the tickets from 000-999. That took a whole 3 and a half hours. Before I made everyone of them I printed off one copy to see if it worked. Sure enough it did PERFECTLY. I thought Wow! for once somethings going to be easy and work for me. Well I guess I was wrong. I now went to print off the rest of the cards but for some reason my printer (HP PSC 1350 All-In-One) will not print the tickets on the correct region of the perforated paper. It prints right before the first perforation so that the first two lines are omitted. Basically it starts printing right away rather than leaving a space at the top of the page. Funny thing is when I print it on normal paper it works PERFECTLY! I've tried adjusting my margins, hitting the enter button and moving the document down (on MS Word) but even after that it isn't aligned. I've adjusted settings on the print menu, there isn't a choice for perforated paper. Ugh I've wasted probably 20 sheets of paper and a ton of ink trying to do this. It worked last night and now it isn't at all. I'm running out of ideas. I even restored my computer to last night and it still doesn't work. Please someone help I'm so stressed out about this. Thanks for the fast response George, but I've tried flipping the paper upside down, turning it everything. No luck. I tried calling both Staples and Avery's costumer support but they are both closed.
Laser printer not printing to right tray? Hopefully somebody can give me insight in to this general problem. Even after I go to printer setup and select Tray 2 (multi-purpose-feed), it ends up printing from Tray 1. This only occurs with a particular word file I'm trying to print, normally I have no problem printing to the different trays by going to printer setup. Printer: Dell 3110cn Document: Word 2003, avery business card template OS: Windows Vista Problem solved, thanks! The first guy nailed it on the head. I actually solved this problem after doing a search on the net. I came back here to close it but it was already answered. I'll choose you whenever it lets me.
Avery business cards...? I can't find the template on Microsoft Word. The Avery number is 8871, and I can't find it when I go to Tools, Envelopes and Labels, and Options.
I need help printing out my business cards!? I made a card in Photoshop, downloaded the appropriate template (apparently???) for the card stock I'm using, and they're printing out all wrong. The cards are supposed to use the template shown here: http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/Templates-%26-Software/Templates/Cards/Business-Cards/Business-Card-_-Wide-10-per-sheet_Microsoft-Word.htm?N=0&refchannel=c042fd03ab30a110VgnVCM1000002118140aRCRD But when I print them out, they start right on the edge of the card, ignoring the margin that frames the whole sheet. The left and right margin are perfect, but the top and bottom are completely off. Please help! I actually did just print it off on junk paper just now to see what the dealio was, and it prints fine on the junky old paper--so I'm kind of miffed about this whole thing.
Why do my business cards not line up upon printing? I am using a template I downloaded from Avery and the cards are printing an inch too high. I have tried to adjust the template to compensate for the error but nothing I try works. I have played with everything from spacing to resolution but nothing will solve my problem. What should I do?
hp officejet 5610v not printing specialty paper correctly? I'm using Avery paper products, specifically labels and business cards, and every time I print using this printer they are printed too deep on the page, offsetting the words and ruining a whole page. I can plug in my boyfriends Canon printer and it prints just fine, every time, no hassles. But he’s not here with his printer right now, so I’m stuck with this POS. For this particular project I’m using Print Shop, and I’ve tried going to File: Print: Advanced: Printer Alignment and following the steps given. But after doing all the measuring and entering all the number nothing happens. The program gives me no further instruction… I don’t think it’s a cartridge alignment problem because it only seems to affect label and business card templates. Any advice???
Trying to print business cards with Publisher '07 and can't find template? I am trying to print business cards and have bought pre-made sheets to print them out on. They are "Avery". It holds 10 cards per sheet, and it's 2"x 3 1/2". On the box it says I should use a template called '8371", however I can't find how to get to it anywhere. When I've tried to print them before, I've found space between the cards, when there is none in the sheets. Help, please?
Having image registration problems with HP Deskjet F4480? I am trying to print out some business cards on my Deskjet F4480 printer using the Avery 8859 template card stock. The problem is that the image is moving up and down by as much as a quarter inch or more from one sheet to the next. I used about 12 sheet before I actually got a sheet that had the BC image where it was supposed to be. Makes for pretty expensive BCs. I used the software to clean the feed rollers and even used alcohol and a Q-tip to clean them, but still the problem continues. I am at wits end trying to solve this problem, not to mention that the printer is fairly new. I haven't put more than 1500 sheets through it since I purchased it about 4 months ago. any help would be very much appreciated.
Is there a template for Word/Excel, etc that will size photos to 3.5"x2.5" and print them 9 to a page? I want to crop photos to exactly 3.5" x 2.5" and place them either 4 to a page of 5x7 or 9 to a page of 8.5x11. Excel will let me do this but with a lot of manual work, and it's almost impossible hitting the dimensions exactly (usually it's off by 1 or 2 two places at the second decimal). Avery makes print templates for business cards, greeting cards, place cards, address labels, and nearly everything else, but I haven't seen anything to do 3.5" x 2.5". The "wallet-size" setting on my printer settings is close, and will give 9 to a page, but it's not 3.5" x 2.5". I understand that Adobe Essentials can do this, but I can't afford the price. Maybe someone has an Office template or a software program that I could use that is freeware or shareware or an inexpensive commercial product?
Does anyone know how to change a pdf file into a jpeg? Im trying to make business cards and i called the customer support and they said i'd have to change my pdf to a jpeg and then insert it into the avery template. Can someone help me im going crazy trying to figure these cards out!!!
Attention computer geeks:? My mom got Avery business cards. We can't find the template on Microsoft Word. The Avery number is 8871, and we can't find it when I go to Tools, Envelopes and Labels, and Options. Also, i don't want to sound rude when i say 'computer geeks', i'd take that as a compliment.
I need serious help w/MS Office Publisher 2007 and its related components.? I recently downloaded MS Office Pub 07 so I could try it out. I designed a business card and tried printing it out. It will not print correctly (align) in Publisher. I am using Avery 28877. When I try to use Word 07 (as I have been instructed to before), I have no "Tools" prompt on my toolbar where the mailings and labels window is supposed to be. When I try to open my business card file in Word, a window pops up with what appears to be my design in encrypted form and the header reads "file converson". I have no idea what this is or how to correct it. I do have an Avery prompt but all that does is give me access to Avery templates which quite honestly is VERY limited in what it will allow me to create (ex. NO lines can be drawn). It appears that I am not allowed to print my business cards with the trial version of this product. Any help with this matter is greatly appreciated.
Problem printing business cards? Printing on Avery ivory card sheets and everything is fine. Switch to Avery WHITE (same template) and every time everything prints high like the paper is dragging or the rollers are not picking it up well. Have tried to clean the rollers with q-tips and a little alcohol but still the same result. Any ideas? Using HP Photosmart Plus printer.
Avery business cards? What is the best method, program to use to edit and have the correct format for Avery 5871. On the box it says 8371 template for Microsoft Word. I was going to use Photoshop but what would be the best way to do this. Using Word with a Avery template.
How to get my business cards to print on Avery business card template? I have a MacBook and I made business cards on Microsoft Word. I'm trying to print them on Avery business cards template #8371 When I print them on regular paper, it prints perfectly how I want it. When I print it on the Avery paper, it prints it on the top edge instead of where it needs to be. How do I get it to work right?
