I want to create a website and I am looking for a template that I can place one large video along with a small paragraph description about the video. Website is blank - Have my own domain, uploaded free template but doesn't work? I have my own domain and I just registered on a free hosting site and found a free html template. I followed the intstructions and uploaded everything to /public_html as they said but my website is still blank. I'm not sure but could this be related to the nameserver? How can I edit free html or css templates so i can customise them for my site? I have a new community website at http:www.blackcountrygob.com. The website portal was built by someone I am no longer in contact with and I would like to add new areas to the site and also to improve things but I simply have no clue what I'm doing. If you take a look at the site you will see various links to other areas. The jukebox for example is a plain page with the music player embedded in but it looks plain and boring as does the games section. I would like to use free templates as a base for these sections but just do not know how to use them can anyone offer any help. How to edit free html template? OK So I just need a one page website where people can come to to pay me for a service. I decided to go with a template I found on the web. So Im trying to remember how this process works. Sooo the template includes the files with images, index, something called default, and license. So I thought I might need something to edit this stuff with and dowloaded eversoft First Page 2006. Now the issue is- I thought the program was supposed to take the html and show me what it looks like and let me edit it in a viewable format, as if I was editing a website on a browser (just not published to web) and then translate that into html and I could then load it. I mean I have no idea how to edit all this html, css stuff any other way. Help. How do I edit free templates? If I knew how to edit HTML I could build the frekkin site from scratch. Arghhh

I just downloaded a free website template. Now, how do I add it to Frontpage so I can begin to create a site? I've never used Frontpage 2002 and can learn by doing. I also have another HTML editor (if that is what they're called) called Nvu. Convert a photoshop website design (psd) to css + html? I have seen many free website templates that have PSD (Photoshop templates) and the css file with them. I have made a design in photoshop, so i was wondering if there is a trick to convert the photoshop file to css or html.. because if I open the css file, the layers are exactly the same in pixels, example: a div layer with these caracteristics: height 25px width 50px top 512px left 450 px, with the same font and font size, etc, etc. Is there a way to convert the photoshop website design i have designed to css, instead of calculating the top, left, right, bottom dimensions of the page?

How do I get the advertisement off of my website? I'm using Sitesled for my website and an advertisement from adbrite keeps showing up and Sitesled says that they don't place ads on their users sites and I didn't put it there either. I did use a free HTML template from 2createawebsite, so I'm assuming it's from that. However, I have very limited knowledge in HTML and I can't figure out where the code is for the advertisement! Is there a way to upload your own html code and NOT use the templates on Godaddy.com's Website Tonight? I tried to just upload the index.html as a file and it won't let me. It only lets you do images (like .jpg files). I also tried to pick the most simple template and enter in my code in the one of the spots and delete the other areas, but it won't do that either. HELP! Where to make free website besides freewebs? I don't want to use any templates, because i want to use my own HTML & CSS. However, freewebs won't let me save for some reason, and other websites that are free won't let me use my own layout codes. Help?
How to intergrate software into my website? HTML? Ok I am running a HTML template based php script with mysql, (freelance website) I need some help. 1st I'm not sure what i need some kind of software i need open source, freeware, shareware. etc, but what I want is to offer it free to my members, how would I host that software and or intergrate it into my website? so that it can be used of my website? Is there a HTML code that I could add into a page that will run the software, so after they are members they can go to the page and setup a user account (like it was installed on there computer)? any HTML codes or tips would be great ;) thank you

How do I use a "website template"? I found a lot of interesting website templates on the internet. Some for free, some for a fee. My question is: when I order/download 1 of these templates, what is then the next step? Eg. I downloaded some free trail templates, and what I received are zip files with html/jpg files, and I have no idea how to get these templates running/how to try them... Do I need to instal dreamweaver first, and open the files with dreamweaver? Thank you so much!!!

Website creation... been out of the loop and need some guidance? I need to create a simple website of approximately 8 pages depth. In the olden days I would have created a frames start page so that only the content of the page changed and the navigation menu, logo, notifications stayed the same. I dont want to create a template of how the site generically looks and use this to construct the other pages as, even though I will use stylesheets for fonts, each amendment would have to be done on all pages creating a total administrative nightmare! I'm just not up on the current creation methods but know frames are not the way to go, flash is too complicated for the requirement, free website templates may go some way to the actual look of the site but seem to use seperate html pages, oh and for the record I am not proficient in XML or ASP. FYI - Am using DreamWeaver 2004.

Free website help, please assist.? My teacher gave us an assignment, to make a MySpace for each of the characters in our book, but you're not allowed to use myspace.com (banned). Marrying web templates with pre-designed web-builders? I needed a website with literally 4-5 pages so signed up with Microsoft Office Live Small Business as they would give a free website and domain name but the problem is that I don't like the themes that come with the build-package (Basically I want my background to be pure black and sexy - like a night club - and the programme isn't letting me). I've found website templates that look more like what i want so I'm wondering is it possible to transpose the template onto my Microsoft package? Possibly HTML? May I also ask that I'm not the most IT-savvy person so would appreciate detailed step-by-step instructions if what I'm asking is at all possible.
