Best WEBSITE TEMPLATES for download, both Free & Purchase for 10-2009? Hello, does any one have a list (or favorite) sites to download various website templates. Some are offering unlimited download for $50-$99/yr, but I tried templatebox.com and they offer junk. (photoshop home page design is cut up like checker board without any regards for graphics & text locations. what a junk!!) I tried templatemonster.com before, and it's ok, but pricey. WEBSITE DESIGN: I want to make my own website so I downloaded a free website template? but the website template only has the index.html (I think this is the homepage) 1. What is a website and a webpage? Is there a difference between the two? 2. How do I make the same template for my other pages (i.e. about us, contact, products etc.) but with a little difference from the index.html like for example there are photos in the index.html but for the other pages I want no photos or the photos are placed in a different area of the page?? Easy/free website design software? I just bought webhosting for one of my long-standing domain names, and thought I could use the web editor included, but all the templates are really fugly. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about HTML coding to design a site I'm happy with without multiple hours of looking up codes. I only know enough to do some links and maybe change a background picture. Is there a web design software that's really easy to use and free? I have Paint included in my computer and downloaded Paint.Net(Because Windows 7 has crappy paint) is there some web design download that's something like that?

Free and easy website design? Please can anyone help me find somewhere that I can design my own website, that is easy and has templates to use? I have spent ages designing one on wix.com for my friend to host but wix will not let him download the files as is trying to make me spend money by hosting with them. I have already bought the domain name. I am trying to create a website with Dreamweaver....I am a beginner..so what I am trying to do is find a template that I can download and enter my text, images, etc on the existing template. I found some free templates online and when I upload them, Dreamweaver opens up and it came out with a bunch of codes...I tried to view it in "Design View" but it doesnt give me that option....I've also tried to copy all the codes from the template and paste it into a new page, it still came out with a bunch of codes all jumble together. In my documents there are files for it with the following types: file folder which is just images, PNG image which is the whole template, shockwave flash which i can't open, html document with index as the file name when i click on this a webpage of my template pops up on ie. and then database file with a file name of "thumbs", and I can't open that either. Which file do i need to use? Are there any free programs (even with a link back) , where i can use this template and customize the text on the tabs and add links, etc.? If not, are there any programs i can use to upload my template to it, then edit, that are inexpensive and one time fee? I already have hosting, and every program seems only allow me to use their hosting if i use their design program? Someone, please help... I need Help putting a template on my Yahoo Small Business website.? I have purchased a template. I have a website using Yahoo small business. I am trying to figure out how to put this template on to my site. I really need help. I am familiar with HTML but not CSS and it uses alot of CSS. Here are the instructions it gives me: BASIC TEMPLATE INSTRUCTIONS Before getting started you should always duplicate this folder in another location, in order to refer back to original documents when needed. In order to use the same fonts as the sample file you will need to copy and paste the fonts located in your FONTS folder, into your fonts’ folder on your computer. Location Of folder: My Computer/WINDOWS/fonts Refer to the style.css file (located inside the SITE folder, folder name: styles] along with the html web pages) when needing to modify your text, colors, and some background images and colors. View your source code to identify which items you want to modify. This web template is designed in advanced cascading style sheets format. In order to work with this template you will need some understanding of how to use cascading style sheets. To learn more go to http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp. THERE ARE 2 VERSIONS OF LAYOUT DESIGN TO CHOOSE FROM. All web template files for the table-based site are located in the folder named “TABLE BASED SITE”. All web template files for the CSS site are located in the folder named “CSS TABLELESS SITE”. To modify your Business Logo, open the image called “logo-header.psd”, located in your SLICED PSD FILES folder. To do this you will need Adobe Photoshop- or any other software program that handles PSD files. Dreamweaver website layout not right in firefox? For the life of me, I can't get my dreamweaver page to show up the same in firefox or ie. The positioning that is. Nothing is in the center. The menues are in the wrong place. Everything is all over the place, except for the top left flash banner. How can I fix this? I know there is limit to how much you can upload on free hosting website, but this is just a temp page to show. I have another important flash file but it's a 6 mb file. Need advice for designing a simple website cheap? I posted this in Internet, but I think it would be more appropriate here? I don't need a lot of features in my website--just something fairly simple, but I do want it to look nice. I was looking at some template sites. Are there any that people recommend? Also, are the free template sites trustworthy? I'm a little wary of downloading a virus. Although I don't need something complicated, it will eventually have many pages. I'd like to be able to have "permanent sidebars." So that I can change a link on one page and it clones it for all pages. However, I don't want frames. But I'm completely ignorant when it comes to creating, uploading and maintaining a website. I purchased my domain from Godaddy and set up my free hosting account, but now I need to design my webpage. Cub Scout help needed? My sons have a pinewood derby race this coming weekend. Every website I visit to print templates for car designs want me to pay. Any sites I can go to that I can print/download a free template to trace onto the car.

What is a good website builder site that I could use? Like, one I make a subdomain off of? I want to make a website for a novel I'm writing, technically the whole series, but i don't know which builder to use. I need one that I could, someday if I were able to, pay money to get my own domain, but for now be able to use it free as long as I want. I need something that loads easy, because as my novel isn't published, i might post just a few parts on my site. I also need to be able to make many pages. Also, I need it to be compatible with most types of widgets, in case I need chat rooms and stuff. preferably with different templates, and a way for users to make comments. Also, it does need to be free, even If i have a subdomain, and hopefully free of downloads as well. I also need the requirements to be that your are 13 or older, not 18 or older. i know these are a lot of things, but if you know a really good one that may work for what i'm doing, even if it doesn't exactly match this, please tell me. i ahve tried wetpaint, which is pretty good, but I'm looking for something else. Synthasite wasn't bad either. just now i tried sampa, but it didn't do good for me. a long time ago i tried free webs, and tried it recently, but it isn't that good. please tell me the best one. I might post this is multiple categories, because i don't know which one. perhaps books and author's, in case other writers there know a good one, and in programming and design maybe. also, if you know a site that is good that I ddon't need a subdomain for but is still free, that would be helpful.

freeWebs do they work ? As ive done 3 now off Free web Tiscali and i just dont seem to get them live, got told i need HTML files ? they say its so simple but ive now got a new anger problem called Free Web syndrome that i freak out every time i see one that's working and mine dosnt lol, ive even started again but to no avail, all i want is to see what Response id get before getting a better one as im so poor its not funny lol so can anyone tell me if there worth it or am i just wasting my time with them, if so is there anymore that anyone knows about that i could download templates from and do myself as i love doing them now, must admit got really into them as im really just starting out in website stuff and its got me hooked on web design now lol Thanks Arran

Website Template Help? Hello all, I was just wondering if there is anyone out there that could help me with my website. I am looking into re designing my website, and have found a free template that I want to use. I have downloaded all the components that are needed for the template, but are unsure where to upload it to on my websites control panel. In the components, there are about 20 images, scripts etc. I have tried uploading these to my websites control panel, but on the HTML editer page, I cant seem to get the whole page to come together. If anyone out there could help me out, it would be most appreciated. I can provide my servers control panel information if needed... Thanks

How to Customize a Web Template? I am attempting to make a website for using a free web template but unfortunately I am not a design savvy at all. This is the template that I'm interested to use http://www.oswd.org/designs/search/keyword/keyword/silverglow/ It's validation is XHTML 1.0 Transitional and using CSS, so I downloaded it and now I'm not sure what to do. I know I can edit the first page in the 'index' file. But what do I need to do to add more pages? For example making the page for 'service' and 'about us' ? If you know how or know a website that can guide me in customizing a web template I would really really appreciate it. So far I could only found one website that tells me what to do next, but not very informative. Thanks in advance!

Are there any website builders online that you do not have to download and can use your own host & domain? I have a domain name registered and paid for plus I have paid for hosting through Microsoft. Unfortunately, I do not have a decent web design program (I have NVU 1.0 - a WYSIWYG editor). I know some HTML but not a great deal. I'm no expert, that's for sure. Anyway, my question is are there any online website builders that provide free templates and allow you to use your own host and domain? If so, could you explain to me how they work and provide a link to the site, please? Serious answers only. I've tried Kompozer and not only is it exactly like NVU but it has a ton of bugs so that's a negative. Not to mention you have to download it and I believe I asked for programs that do not require downloads.
