Can't download word templates having Active X problems? I get this message when I try to download a window template on line:To download and use this template, you need to have Microsoft Office Word 2003 installed on your computer. In addition, you need to install the Microsoft Office Online Active X to automatically download and open Office Online templates on your computer.I even inserted the word disk and punched up repair and ran it, didn't changes things. Now I have a good version of 2003 word . I also have messages pop up when I try to forward email with a photo or graphics . Hey my Microsoft Office Word 2007 will not download any templates. Does anyone know why? Every time I go to download a template to my computer from Word it says template download error. It states that to fix the problem I must: Make sure I'm connected to the Internet (which I am); make sure your browser is not in offline mode (which I am not to sure but I'm online aren't I?); and try again later. Its extremely frustrating cause i really need these templates. Someone help!!!!

Microsoft word offline? I have a Toshiba laptop which uses Windows 7. Back in October I had a virus removed, when I got my computer back my Internet Explorer no longer works and when I pull up my Microsoft Word and try to select a template it states: Unable to Connect to Microsoft Office Online. I did the diagnose testing and it says that I am not connected to the internet however I am connected. I have also tried to download the Microsoft Office 2010 and it gives me error message: The files required to set up Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010 cannot be loaded. Check your Internet connection and then try again. Again I am connected to the Internet so is there any suggestion on how to fix this?

Microsoft Office 2007 starts up SSSLOOOW? So my laptop just got optimized by Best Buys' Geek Squad and now Word is starting slow. It takes about 3 minutes to fully boot up. I found somewhere online that it could be the Normal.dot template and deleted it, which will get it to boot up fine but when I try again after that it's back to slowsville. Anyone have any ideas?

US version of Word 2007 in the UK? My version of Word 2007 is from the US and I'm now in the UK. It won't let me use any templates for a new document and says it cannot connect to Microsoft Office Online. On top of which, when I go to Word's website for support it will let me click around but not start a new thread to ask other Word users. Is this because I'm using a US version in the UK? How can I get around this?

I need help with how to put this together!? I work for my families small business and recently took over taking care of the books. Everything has been kept pretty simple.. mostly just money coming in and going out. Theres never been inventory taken, no budget, no forecast, no aged receivables, long term debt, etc.. This is it! im goin nuts ...someone out there has to know what up!! Ive tried it all & still cant get activex! this is the specifics so far. im on a home computer -one user ..i have added site in trusted sites(microsoft office online) and lowered security settings to low . when i access customize and place everything under activex as enable and administrator approved and reset it bounces back. when i try to pull up practice it gives TRAINING TEMPLATE DOWNLOAD- AN ACTIVEX CONTROL COULD NOT BE INSTALLED- then it gives step to correct...been there down that ....i cant believe i still at square 1 ...im desperate...ive just started where i want to get certified in programs and I cant even get the practice sessions done!!! what a %$#$!!Everybody has really been great with suggestions. My questions are now, how can I make a resume without adding any job/volunteer experience? And how would I list my education? In what order do I list the name of the school,grad year,minor/major and location of the school? My highest education level would be high school but I went to two different colleges for less than a year (I didn't complete the year). Do I still list the two colleges first? What do I replace with the 'experience' section? I am using Microsoft Office Word resume template but it's not really helping me. Please help.I do not have much contact with any of my high school or college teachers because they are all in the Philippines while I am now in California. I barely have references either because I there are not many people I know or are close enough with outside of my family. I don't have friends in California although I was born and raised here. i tried to down load open office, but is it safe? i was advised on here that i could down load open office for free instead of buying microsoft......i did all i needed to to down load open office, but at the end a window popped up to sy that my computer did not recognize open office and did i still want to finish the down load....i got nervous so i cancelled....could you tell me is open office safe to use, should i go back and down load it all? thank you for your help, i am really not great with the computer, but am using it to further my education through online learning andcan't really afford to buy micro soft, so open office..if it really works would help me out alot for assignments and templates for newsletters, etc.....again i thank you for your adivse, help and time with my question!! lloking forward to reading what you have to say/you thoughts.
How do I make a professional business card? I have WordPerfect Office 2000, Presto! BizCard 3.0, a trial version of Microsoft Office 2007, and can get Microsoft Office 97. The card I'm making is for my brother because I'm better with computers, but these programs are either crazy-old, don't have the templates (and the company doesn't offer them online anymore) or are trial versions. The BizCard refuses to print anything and cannot be modified, like a stuck old geezer grouching away in his rocking chair. So how do I do this without running out and buying a program I will never use again with money that simply does not exist in my pocket?

Microsoft Office 2007 question...? I have installed my Office Student and Home 2007 on two of my computers but on the second one it will not validate. I tried to download a template and went through the validation process online but when I go back into Word to download the template again, it says that I can either "Get Genuine" or "Resolve Later" I try to "Get Genuine" again and it repeats this same process all over again. Can anyone help me?
How do I make a resume without any job experience or references? I need to make a resume because a lot of jobs at the mall require a resume. I already filled out applications but even at JCPenney, a store associate recommended me to meet and greet a hiring manager and hand them a resume (even though I already filled out an online application) and because I haven't had any luck in getting hired, in these last several months, I am going to try to do this at all stores I've applied to. My questions are now, how can I make a resume without adding any job/volunteer experience? And how would I list my education? In what order do I list the name of the school,grad year,minor/major and location of the school? My highest education level would be high school but I went to two different colleges for less than a year (I didn't complete the year). Do I still list the two colleges first? What do I replace with the 'experience' section? I am using Microsoft Office Word resume template but it's not really helping me. i have a problem with microsoft word? when i open microsoft work 2003 a message box appears saying: The Visual basic enviroment could not be initialized This error is usually due to insufficient memory or low disk space.  It also occurs when the default Word template (normal.dot) is corrupt, the VBE6.DLL file is the wrong version, or permissions to the Temp folder on a server share do not allow access to the folder by the user. Low memory or disk space can be solved by either closing unused applications, de-installing unused programs or files from the hard drive, or by adding RAM or a larger hard drive.  In some cases, a memory leak may have been encountered and is consuming RAM without your knowledge.  If you suspect a memory leak is the problem, shut down Word and VBA and restart the computer. Rename the normal.dot file and restart Microsoft Office Word. When you exit Word, Word will rebuild a new normal.dot file.  If you have a backup of the normal.dot, you can replace the defective one with the backup copy instead of having Word repair the file. If the VBE6.DLL is not the correct version, replace it. If the network permissions are inadequate for access to a TEMP folder on a server share, consult the administrator and determine if the permissions can be changed.  Otherwise, redirect VB to use a local Temp folder.
